Morgan announced that it will reveal its new top-of-the-line model, the Supersport, on March 11. The coupe will be based on the new CXV platform, an evolution of the previously used bonded aluminum chassis.
Additionally, it will retain the BMW six-cylinder turbocharged engine, following the standard set by its predecessor, the Plus Six, whose production was halted in November 2023.
The official presentation will be led by Richard Hammond, former host of “Top Gear” and “The Grand Tour,” who has owned several Morgan models.
The automaker, known for its traditional approach, began incorporating modern advancements with the Plus Six, launched in 2019, which was the first model from the brand to feature a turbo and air vents on the dashboard. Still, the company remains true to its handcrafted and classic identity.
Recently, Morgan confirmed its official return to the North American market with the Plus Four, allowing its 12 dealerships in the U.S. to sell up to 325 cars per year. However, there is no information yet on when the new Supersport will arrive in the country.
